because和because of

because：因为

because of：由于；因为

两者区别在于because后面接从句，而because of后面接名词或名词性词组。

例：

I like summer because I like summer vacation.

I like summer because of the summer vacation.

我喜欢夏天，因为我喜欢暑假。

because：因为

so：所以

说到“因为”，必然想到“所以”，在中文中有“因为……所以……”和“之所以……是因为……”的关联词，但在英文中，because和so不能同时出现在同一个句子中。

例：因为他生病了，所以他没有出席会议。

错误写法：Because he was ill,so he didn't attend the meeting.

正确应为：

He was ill,so he didn't attend the meeting.

或He didn't attend the meeting，because he was ill.

同样的道理，虽然（although/though)和但是（but)也不能同时出现在一个句子里。

例：

错误写法：Although it was raining, but he went to school on time.

正确应为：Although it was raining, he went to school on time.

或It was raining,but he went to school on time.
