enough是什么意思 enough的用法…

Enough和too每天经常用英语出现，使用频率非常高。

我们经常想到的可能是enough food或enough time、too small或too hot。今天我们再提供几个例句，让大家一起感受这两个词的用法。

先看几组例句：

1、The red shoes are too small for him.

也就是说 The red shoes are not big enough for him.

The black shoes are too big for him.

也就是说 The black shoes are not small enough for him.

The blue shoes are perfect.（介于太大与太小之间，正好）

Note：too和enough都可以和形容词连用，但是too要放在形容的前面，而enough要放在形容词的后面。

too和not enough 经常用来表达不尽如人意的状态，比如 too old，too tired，too cold等。

也就是说 It's not warm enough to have a picnic.

等天气好了，就可以说 It's warm enough to have a picnic.

enough用来表达令人满意的状态，比如：

The weather is hot enough to go swimming.

We took enough food with us when we had a picnic last Sunday.

I have enough money to travel around the nation.

英语句子中经常用not enough和too连接意思相反的形容词，可以表达近似的含义。比如：

not big enough就约等于说small

not cold enough就约等于说warm。

但是，not too big 和not big enough表达出来的心境还是有区别的：

not too big意味着可能大了一点，但不算太大，还可以接受。

not big enough则给人的感觉是有点小，不太能接受。
